Thomas LaPorte
Attorney Thomas LaPorte, Esq. graduated from Saint John’s Preparatory School in 1983 and from the University of Massachusetts Amherst in 1988 with a Bachelor of Arts in Legal Studies, a minor in History, and a concentration in Business.
He attended the University of the Pacific McGeorge School of Law in California, where he was named to the Dean’s List and received the Best Brief Award in Moot Court, along with two “AmJur” awards for best-in-class grades. He earned his Juris Doctor degree and was admitted to the California Bar in 1994. He later became a member of the Massachusetts, Maine, and New Hampshire bars in 1997, 2000, and 2001, respectively, after passing each state’s bar examination.
Since 1994, Attorney LaPorte has built a diverse legal practice representing individuals, families, and businesses in a wide range of matters. His experience includes civil and commercial litigation, probate matters, guardianships and conservatorships, wage law, business and corporate law, and transactional work involving contracts, construction matters, commercial leases, and the buying and selling of businesses.
Attorney LaPorte is currently licensed to practice law in New Hampshire, Maine, Massachusetts, and California.
In April 2022, Attorney LaPorte founded LaPorte Law Group, PLLC, with its primary office located in Portsmouth, New Hampshire. He also serves as Of Counsel to Cossingham Law Office, PC, and maintains office space in Andover, Massachusetts.
